Tricare Supplement Insurance

You earned your TRICARE medical benefits, and this supplemental plan helps cover any out-of-cover costs that may otherwise fall on you.

Here's what you need to know

Even with a robust health insurance plan like TRICARE for retired military personnel, you may find yourself owing additional costs that you have to cover on your own. When treating an injury or illness, your focus should be on getting better, not on medical bills.

TRICARE Supplement Insurance is voluntary insurance designed to complement TRICARE to help with your out-of-pocket healthcare expenses. Retired military personnel can enroll in this coverage, which helps pay for expenses such as copays and cost shares, prescriptions, and a portion of your TRICARE deductible (sometimes up to 100%) once your deductibles have been met.
